Three time Super Bowl Champion and former Washington Football Team Head Coach Mike Shanahan joined The Kevin Sheehan Show to give his insight on Super Bowl LIV live in Miami.

Kyle Shanahan and his father Mike are the first NFL father-son duo to both lead a team to the Super Bowl. So naturally one of the story lines for this year’s big game is that 49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan is trying to achieve the same success his father had as an NFL Super Bowl winning head coach.

Kevin asked Mike what it’s like watching his son prepare for the biggest game of his life, “I think you just get really excited about having the opportunity to be here,” Coach Shanahan said. “Having been here as an assistant coach and a head coach you know how hard it is to get here, and once you are here you’re just looking forward to taking advantage of the opportunity. We’re pretty excited.”

So what’s more nerve racking? Coaching in a Super Bowl or watching your son do it?  “Oh, there’s no question it’s much more nerve racking being in this seat than it was in the other seat.”
