Al Galdi gives us his biggest takeaways from Ron Rivera’s appearance on “Doc and Galdi” at Super Bowl LIV in Maimi.,

Al starts with Ron saying he’s a big fan of the Washington Football Team's recent drafts:

“One of the things I did through my evaluation process was to look at those last three drafts. The thing that really did stand out in my mind is just how many of those players that played as starters, that have competed in meaningful snaps, it was a big number.”

Another one of Galdi’s  takeaways was Riviera, again emphasizing Dwayne Haskins needing to be more of a leader:

“I want to see him start taking the leadership mantle. It’s one the things I said in my first press conference. You know he’s got the skill set, he’s shown he’s got the ability.”

A more surprising takeaway was when Ron, unprompted bought up Alex Smith and the potential for a quarterback competition:

“I also don’t want to forget Alex Smith. Here’s a guy that’s doing everything he can to come back, and if Alex can come back and be the player that he was we have a good situation, we have competition at that position.”

Galdi’s final takeaway was Ron speaking about the “Coachcentric” approach, but also involving Dan Snyder in roster decisions:

“Lets say there’s a little bit of a disagreement about this guy or that guy, well now maybe we just bring in and we ask Mr. Snyder to get involved and help us…”
