The Redskins get the Eagles on Monday Night Football tonight in Philly. It’s pretty close to a must win game for them if they hope to win the division. Round one went to the Eagles 30-16 in DC in a game that was a lot closer then the score showed. Since then both teams have found a run game and have improved in other areas as well. Before we get to the meat of the matchup, let’s look at some trends:

  • The Redskins have covered 16 of their last 25 games as an underdog.
  • Washington has gone over in 12 of their last 17 road games.
  • The Eagles have covered and gone over the total four of six times this season.
  • Philly is 12-16 ATS against the rest of the conference the last three years.

Listen, this is going to be a close game and I think both squads will look good in stretches. The problem for Washington is that Josh Norman is out, Bashaud Breeland is banged up and Jonathan Allen is not up front pressuring the QB. They also feature Terrelle Pryor who is inconsistent and Josh Doctson who isn’t getting enough run. The run game will struggle against the Eagles who have clamped down against opponents on the ground. Still, this is round two and Washington has covered 14 of their last 25 in Philly. I think the Eagles win.

Philly 24, Redskins 20
