Games played on 2/7:

UofR completed the regular season sweep of VCU after winning a 77-76 thriller in the robins center. VCU had a 12 point lead with 8 minutes left in the game but Jacob Gilyard responded by scoring 9 of his 18 after VCU went on their run. Nick Sherod added 18 including 10 points in the final 7 minutes. Justin Tillman led the Rams with 21 points.

#2 Virginia tied the best start in program history in ACC play defeating FSU 59-55 in Tallahassee. UVA is now 12-0 in the ACC, which is the school’s best start since the ‘80-81 season. The Seminoles held the largest lead UVA had experienced this season at the half, but Devon Hall had 17 points and Ty Jerome added 15 in order to help the ‘Hoos surge back for the win.

Virginia Tech handled NC State at home 85-75. Justin Robinson had a career high 32 points.

Virginia State beat Virginia Union 60-57. George Mason lost to Fordham 67-66. Radford lost to High Point 61-60. Longwood fell to UNC-Asheville 78-73. Liberty lost 87-75 to Charleston Southern. Randolph Macon lost 56-54 to Virginia Wesleyan.
