Washington Redskins former MVP quarterback Doug Williams made his way up to the ESPN Richmond tent and spoke with Big Al as Thursday’s morning walkthrough was underway.

Williams is now the Redskins Senior VP of Player Personnel and said, “To be in this position is a great opportunity and I’m really looking forward to it.”

He works directly with Head Coach Jay Gruden to help create a strong team and when asked how he would build a team, Williams told Big Al, “I think it starts in the trenches on both sides, I look at our team now and we put together a pretty solid offensive line.”

The conversation continues with smiles and laughs as Big Al and Williams reminisce on Super Bowl XXII.

Morning walkthroughs continue down on the field and as the talk with Williams comes to a close, he says, “I don’t think we can lose with the guys we have now.” The confident VP of Player Personnel believes when it comes time to kick the ball off on September 10th, the team should be on the same page and Williams can only hope for a successful season for the Redskins.
